Safety Coordinator Fellow

JAARS Fellows is an 11-month, merit-based, professional opportunity that provides entry into a first career position, cultivates emerging leaders, and unleashes the world of missions. Fellows join JAARS staff in key positions to make Bible translation and life transformation possible.

The Safety Coordinator Fellow will work closely with the Director of Safety and Security to ensure that JAARS is a safe and healthy place to serve. He or she will learn about safety best practices for a variety of work environments and assist in implementing and auditing them.

The Safety Coordinator Fellow responsibilities include:
  • Helping draft policy, procedure, and plans to shape organizational response to regular and exceptional workplace safety events
  • Assisting in developing training plans and delivering content for organizational safety needs
  • Conducting recurring audits, inspections, investigations, and training
  • Completing annual OSHA and EPA reports
  • Maintaining JAARS Workers Compensation reporting and follow-up, and JAARS hazard prevention plans
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by your manager

Fellows Program Requirements

Preferred
  • Majors including: Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, and Emergency Management
