Donor Communications Specialist at United Way of the Piedmont
Join United Way of the Piedmont in our fight to ensure every person in our community has the opportunity to thrive. You will support the Resource Development team in identifying, soliciting, and cultivating new donors to support our work to improve the education, financial stability, and health of citizens in Spartanburg, Cherokee, & Union County, South Carolina. You will create digital, print, and in-person communications tools. You will also create and curate social media to build brand awareness. You will also have the opportunity to shadow all functions within United Way of the Piedmont.
This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program, which offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. The VISTA member will support and increase the capacity of the Resource Development team to provide funding for United Way of the Piedmont’s work. The VISTA member will effectively engage donors to increase financial resources, document departmental processes and procedures to ensure sustainability, and contribute to social media marketing to build brand awareness to ensure UWP has resources to help eliminate poverty.
