WORK HOURS:
1.0 FTE Position Teaching in STEPS ALC Program
JOB DUTIES:
Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is seeking an experienced and innovative individual to provide excellent leadership to students at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and instructional support for a wide variety of subjects in our Alternative Program known as the STEPS program.
- Manage the online curriculum delivery of content through Apex Learning
- Serve as the primary contact for students, parents and other staff regarding ALC/STEPS
- Enforce rules, practices, and procedures outlined in the high school student handbook and policies specific to the STEPS Program
- Communicate effectively and frequently as well as facilitating staff, student, and parent/guardian meetings
- Use creative approaches to reach a wide variety of students with unique and impactful needs
- Promote and manage community service projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Teaching License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as an alternative school teacher
- Experience as a high school teacher
- Hold a current Minnesota Teaching License in a secondary (7-12) core subject area
- Reading certification or similar
SALARY:
Based on the Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Association salary schedule.
NOTE:
Candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and criminal background check in order to be eligible for employment.
