Campaign Intern or Volunteer (Remote Opportunities Available)
Sheila is a Progressive Democrat running for Congress in Florida District 20! We are looking for interns and volunteers to start as soon as possible to work with us in different departments within the campaign. These departments include Campaign Affairs, Graphic Design, Communications and Blogging, Social Media and Community Outreach. In order to ensure the safety of the volunteers and the public during the COVID-19 outbreak, this internship is currently operated remotely and the option will be given to all volunteers after the pandemic is contained, whether they would like to continue working remotely or if they would like to join us in-person at our field office. We are able to sign off for internship credit or service hours as needed and would be happy to write letters of recommendation for an intern or volunteer who would like one. Internship Description
Interns are required to provide a minimum of 20 hours per week. Interns have the opportunity to work directly with campaign staff in a number of areas: Campaign Affairs, Graphic Design, Communications and Blogging, Social Media, and Community Outreach. Project details will be unique to each field and a description will be provided during orientation.
Volunteer Job Description
Volunteers are asked to provide a minimum of 10 hours per week reaching out to members of the communities in Florida District 20. Tasks will include phone-banking, community wellness checks, and verifying constituent information. All volunteers will be able to use the campaign call system to phonebank so that no personal information is disseminated. All volunteers will work directly with campaign staff and interns to distribute information to the community.
