Discord Moderator (Spring/Summer 2022)
Kulture Hub is a fast-growing community-driven platform built to provide opportunities for the next generation of creators through content and real-life experiences. We are looking for an engaging, driven community manager to join the team as we scale our Discord community.
The primary role of the Community Manager will be to firestart conversations around the content we produce and trending news in our different channels. We want to continually drive engagement and keep the conversation going in all of our channels.
Community Managers will also be responsible for moderating the Discord chats with the ability to kick, ban and mute members, remove content that is against our guidelines and change offensive nicknames.
Responsibilities
- On-board all new members once they’ve signed up and appeared in the #welcome chat.
- Actively recruit creatives from social, Discord groups, friend groups, etc. to join our Discord community. We will have numerical goals in place that must be achieved on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Actively post relevant topics of discussion in appropriate channels, including Kulture Hub editorial content and trending topics.
- Constantly researching new trends and communities across social that we should be a part of.
- Help facilitate any virtual events for the community.
Requirements
- Have a strong understanding of social media and must be active on your own personal platforms.
- Be actively involved and representing Kulture Hub values in any ongoing community chat discussions.
- Do not misuse or abuse moderator authority, subject to staff discretion.
- Must be committed to Kulture Hub community values.
- Must be interested in the betterment of the community and the staff vision.
- Must be recognized in the community as a positive and active member.
- Must be active and frequently engaging with members of our community.
