Strategic Partnerships Development

TikTok, the flagship international app owned by ByteDance, is the world's premier destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to capture and present the world's creativity and knowledge, directly from the mobile phone. TikTok enables anyone to be a creator, and encourages users to share their passion and creative expression through their videos.

Partnerships are a critical means by which we drive awareness and usage of our suite of mobile apps. We are looking for an experienced business developer to build on existing high level relationships and forge high impact new partnerships to help drive growth for ByteDance's mobile products in Indonesia. The primary focus is on Distribution Business Development, including telecoms, OEMs and digital payments, with opportunity to engage in other spaces and other verticals.

This high speed role requires a great deal of complex problem-solving across time zones and tireless entrepreneurial spirit. We expect you to find solutions and create opportunities with a minimum of hand-holding. We are largely unencumbered by red tape, but building process is a critical step towards scale - be prepared to build organizational structure that empowers ongoing, sustainable growth.

This role requires travel throughout Indonesia, as well as to other ByteDance offices, including Beijing and Los Angeles, and to various industry events.

Responsibilities
  • Identify potential partners based on product goals and market needs for growth in Indonesia across TikTok and other ByteDance products
  • Align with Business Operations on strategy around pathways to partnership aligned to product needs
  • Initiate, negotiate and execute agreements for Indoensian partnerships
  • Oversee partnership implementation in collaboration with Technical, Operational, Marketing and Growth, and other BD teams both locally and globally
  • Engage in ongoing management and optimization around signed strategic partnerships in Indonesia

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience at a leading tech, consulting, banking, or telecom firm
  • Experience with both business development, strategy, and execution in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong contacts and experience executing partnerships in the mobile space within Indonesia
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills, particularly implemented in a cross-functional and global role
  • English and Bahasa speaker; Mandarin is a strong plus
