Director of Global Strategic Trade Relations

Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement the global trade strategy in APAC by developing an end-to-end global trade association strategy in support of the overall advertising industry and aligned to Bytedance's key business objectives Implement engagement strategies in how we partner, communicate and engage with industry trade associations through a global to regional local partnership model
  • Serve as a thought leader across the media/advertising or trade associations
  • Partner with global and regional sales, product, policy, business marketing, communications and legal teams on aligning core strategic pillars, marketing strategies, trade outcomes and partnership marketing approaches
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the industry at an APAC level including clients who serve on the boards of the respective trade associations
  • Operational management of global and regional trade body relations including: membership negotiation, communications, committee participation, speaking at trade events and working groups
  • Willing to travel internationally

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of marketing and advertising experience
  • Experience working with trade associations
  • Experience people stakeholder management
  • Proven leadership experience in influencing, developing, and empowering others
  • Knowledge of the advertising and marketing industries globally
  • Experienced keynote speaker on intricate subjects like privacy, safety, advertising standards etc.
  • Attention to detail and experience product managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
