Oncology Staff Nurse
POSITION SUMMARY: This position entails providing nursing care to medical-surgical patients and/or oncology patients throughout the course of illness. All care provided is within the patient first philosophy of care and is in accordance with EMMC's Standards of Caring Behaviors. Must have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills and be a demonstrated team player. Must demonstrate reliability and accountability to team members and patients. Provide age appropriate nursing care to medical-surgical unit that cares for a variety of patients, and that places an emphasis on care of patients with oncology and/or hematologic diagnoses. Patient populations include patients diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders, those undergoing treatment or experiencing effects of treatment, patients with renal dysfunction, and general medical patients.
