.NET MVC Web Developer

DCS is seeking a Web application developer to support the F/A-18 & EA-18G Advanced Weapons Laboratory Integrated Project Team. The F/A-18 AWL has several legacy applications and an exciting new application development effort just beginning. All projects are multi-year efforts that support the USN, USMC, and Foreign Military Sales customers. The applications are database driven and support a variety of business and avionics testing functions. The successful candidate will have experience with web application development in .NET MVC. and demonstrate an innovative ability to increase testing efficiency and maximize testing tool optimization across the enterprise. They will support both legacy application maintenance and new application development as legacy applications are phased out.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform and document requirements analysis and functional allocation, implement allocated requirements through software design, code, and test support.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve reported software anomalies.
Participate in product inspections through each phase of the software life-cycle.
Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.
Provide design reviews and status presentations as assigned.
Create, execute and maintain an Enterprise level automation testing strategy and automation test framework for a given set of automation tools and level of standardization.
Create and approve custom controls, create and review the mentorship, and to include training plans.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s Degree (or work experience equivalent) in disciplines with strong software experience will be considered, plus 8 years of relevant experience.
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
Experience with web development in .NET environment, MVC or other multi-tiered architecture, configuration management systems, Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database design.
Desired Skills:
Classic ASP development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VBScript, AJAX, Git, Atlassian, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Office.
Experience with automated testing with Microsoft TSF, .NET Framework and C# Development.
