Audio Visual Support Technician

The Audio Visual Support Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment is configured, tested, and ready for operation prior to the scheduled time of the VTC session. In addition to identifying, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with Audio/Visual (A/V), videoconferencing equipment, and video networks.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding hardware and software.
Assist with video teleconferences, meetings, conferences and training sessions.
Provide troubleshooting and testing of videoconferencing audiovisual equipment (videoconferencing, multimedia, audiovisual, projection systems, displays, cameras, microphones, integrated A/V systems, streaming technologies, digital signage, etc.).
Troubleshoot, configure, and manage video endpoints, bridges, and other video infrastructure.
Familiar with a variety of the A/V field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.
Identify, research, and report technical problems.
Respond to telephone calls, email and submit tickets for technical support.
Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution using trouble-ticketing system.
Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
Monitors video conferences to ensure quality.
Provide training on control interfaces and use of Audio/Video and VTC equipment.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High School diploma plus 8 years associated experience required.
Will also consider an Associates degree with 2 years of associated experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance for the duration of employment.
Must be a self-starter who is willing and able to work in a team environment.
Direct work experience and working knowledge of videoconferencing and A/V systems.
Security+ and Operating System certification within 6 months.

Current CTS Certification.
