Join the City of Phoenix Housing Department to help empower a local community in making use of a large federal grant to improve their neighborhood. The mission of the Housing Department is: To provide quality affordable housing and a pathway to self-sufficiency. To be recognized as a high performing and innovative agency by creating and sustaining diversified affordable housing opportunities while empowering residents toward stability and economic independence. The successful applicant will conduct outreach to stakeholders in the Edison-Eastlake Community to aid in community development of the program target areas. You will also assist in sustaining the planning and implementation process by organizing and assisting in capacity building of community groups in the program area to ensure continuous membership involvement. In this position you will gain solid experience in how a large federal grant actually operates on the ground in city government to impact people in need.
