Program Associate-Boston, MA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with client proposal development including contracting processes, contract/grant management, development of tracking systems, monitoring, reporting, invoicing and evaluation.
- Conducting research, particularly on issues related to health system transformation, community engagement and hospital community benefit
- Contributing to the development of a wide range of publications (I.e. issue briefs, fact sheets, blogs, funding proposals and presentations) by writing, fact checking, and developing graphics and charts as needed
- Assisting with build and maintenance of relationships with external partners
- Generating initial drafts of surveys, correspondence, presentations, and program materials
- Scheduling appointments with internal and external participants and providing logistical support during calls and meetings, including technology set-up and troubleshooting, notetaking, and meeting follow-up
- Copy-editing and formatting written materials and website content
- Supporting program staff, including scheduling meetings, coordinating conference call logistics, making travel arrangements, assisting with internal and external reporting, assisting with social media, and preparing and handling electronic mailings
- Maintaining contact databases and electronic files; Managing databases, electronic and paper files
- Other duties as required to achieve the goals of CCEHI
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- A Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience, or 2 equivalent professional work experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pro-active work style with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
- Ability and interest to quickly learn about organizational operations and relevant policy issues
- Commitment to social justice
- Skilled in conducting internet research on policy topics, knowledge of social media platforms to leverage research
- Flexibility, creativity and ability to solve problems
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to travel a few times a year
Preferred
- Bilingual/bicultural background
- Experience in social change activism such as: legislative advocacy or political/policy issue campaigns; community organizing; working with coalitions and stakeholders; and/or implementing communications strategies
- Health policy knowledge on health system transformation and Medicaid
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
