Chemical Dependency Clinician

The ChemicalDependency Clinician (CDC) is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) orCertified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) with experience in the treatmentof adults with Chemical Dependency.Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor Adult OutpatientServices and/or designee and the physician they are responsible for theassessment, evaluation, treatment and discharge planning of all patientsassigned to his/her caseload in accordance with the regulatory policies. TheCDC provider is an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatmentteam. The CDC is responsible fordelivery of direct care to patients individually, in groups, and in the milieu. Clinicians are responsible to ensure thatongoing liaison occurs with families and referring community agencies and thatthese agencies are actively involved in the assessment, treatment and dischargeof hospitalized patients. Clinicians actas a role model for other staff members and provide a professional service asleaders in teaching other non-professional staff. This person performs dutiesand/or responsibilities as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor for which s/heis qualified.
