Specialist of Commercialization (10761)

The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) at SIUE is seeking a Specialist of Commercialization. The Specialist of Commercialization will report to the NCERC Director and will work with a team that includes, but is not limited to: Director of Research, Research Engineers, Operating Coordinators, Scientific Analysts, Business Manager, and Specialists. Among the various duties and responsibilities, the Specialist of Commercialization will focus on, but not be limited to:
-Develop internal business development plans for external sales of the following: Analytical Services, Consulting Services, Fermentation Services and Pilot Plant Services.
-Develop programs to engage stakeholders and prospective clients about contractual research and collaboration opportunities with the NCERC.
-Engage stakeholders through targeted conferences, seminars, webinars and related events.
-Assist with biorenewables public policy and outreach to academic institutions, trade associations, and the private sector.
-Develop programs to educate consumers on the benefits of biorenewables and the financial impact of biorenewables industry.
-Develop content of the NCERC website, while simultaneously increasing the Center's exposure through media channels.

Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the Center. 
Located 20 miles from downtown St. Louis in University Park on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, the National Corn-to-Ethanol Center (NCERC) supports a diverse clientele, including industry clients, academia, government, technology providers, trade associations, and domestic and foreign ethanol producers. Our capable, skilled staff offers third-party validation and commercial testing of products, technologies, concepts and ideas.

The NCERC is the only facility in the world at which corn ethanol, cellulosic ethanol, advanced biofuels, and specialty chemical research is conducted simultaneously. As a public/private partnership, the Center offers maximum flexibility and diversity for private clients while simultaneously advancing public sector research. From petri dish to intermediate and pilot scale, the NCERC is fully equipped with the technology and expertise needed to meet any research or technology validation needs.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Relations or related field.
-Must possess strong organizational, communication, networking and problem solving skills.
-Must be a committed team player, with a high level of self-discipline, self-initiative and self-management.
-Applicant must demonstrate knowledge of project planning, self-guidance and working with organizational personnel to achieve NCERC objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
Recent graduates of an MBA program are encouraged to apply.

Posting Salary:
$4,000.00 Monthly, excellent benefits package.
