ANTICIPATED START DATE:  Two weeks after candidate identification
TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc., and will be assigned to the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch (WDPB), Division of Foodborne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases (DFWED), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), at the CDC, located at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA, to provide data management support to the Center.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Data Manager I will provide support for the collection of both qualitative and quantitative data from surveys, focus groups and interviews based on program need.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch (WDPB) staff with regarding project data management.
  • Develop necessary database infrastructure to incorporate qualitative and quantitative data and analysis output
  • Conduct data quality checks of data as needed.
  • Manage and reformat analysis outputs
  • Communicate data needs to project stakeholders
  • Develop tools for generating summary report of analysis outputs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, natural science, or a field related to the responsibilities of the position. 
Required: 
  • Experience working with both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience working with and developing database infrastructure
  • Experience working with statistical software such as SAS, Stata, or similar software
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis software such as MAXQDA, NVivo, RQDA or similar software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining project timeline
  • Ability to work and build coalitions with partners involved, and develop strategies for effectively conveying information to partners
Desirable:
  • Experience working with a diverse interdisciplinary team
  • Skills and experience writing project reports, research protocols and manuscripts
Language Skills:
  • The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English  
REQUIREMENT:
  • Must be United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States
