Engineering Intern

The Product

SnapHabit's mission is to help people build positive, life-improving habits. It tracks your habits and helps you stick to them using social accountability, while helping you stay in the loop on how your close friends and family are doing with theirs. The best way to understand SnapHabit is to download it and try it (iOS, Android).


The Company

The founders are two x-Google product managers. We have experience building great consumer and enterprise experiences for billions of people as well as creating and engineering our own 0 to 1 ventures that have scaled to millions. About this Internship

What will you do?

  • You'll build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, maintenance, and polish. Think features to improve goal setting and tracking.
  • You'll build improvements to performance, reliability, and product polish
  • You will help many people stay in touch and grounded in this time of crisis, social isolation, and loss of our traditionally routines.

This might be for you if...

  • You've built and maintained quality user interfaces that have reached a large audience, ideally while the product is experiencing rapid growth.
  • You can readily learn most technologies as you go. To you, technologies are about tools and tradeoffs, not an ideology.
  • You care about the business implications of anything you build. You're not just going after cool stuff — you understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
  • You're interested in working on some of these problems:
  • How do you create the world's best habit tracking app — simple, performant, yet powerful?
  • How do you help people set great goals?
  • How do you help groups of close friends and family hold each other accountable and motivate each other?
  • How do you create a community of influencers and help their followers take action on their teachings?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineering:
  • Javascript (ES6+)
  • React
  • Node.js

Nice to Haves

  • You stay enjoy staying in touch friends
  • Experience with some of the following:
  • Chat SDKs (Sendbird, Stream)
  • Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Auth)
  • Expo, React Native
  • Native app development (Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift)
  • Notifications
  • Docker
  • CI/CD
  • Redis
  • Fastlane
  • Having worked on these types of products
  • Social experiences, platforms
  • Productivity, tracking tools
