Entrepreneur-in-Residence

POSITION SUMMARY: Our Entrepreneur-in-Residences (EIR) position is a highly visible position, held by a trusted leader that builds upon and transforms business units through industry-defining initiatives and practices. Offers comprehensive expertise within the scope of the hospitality industry (restaurant and hotel). Providing leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the business unit has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people, and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company. The EIR will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of their business unit’s policies, objectives and initiatives; and will work closely with all departments to ensure that the team has the most up-to-date information, processes and tools needed to be successful. The ideal candidate will have a disciplined process re-engineering and change management approach, with a strong history of delivered results.

Job Description
• Identification of growth-oriented acquisition target sectors
• Collaborate in defining and reaching consensus on acquisition or growth parameters
• Owner of acquisition management of selected targets
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
• Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all internal processes for assigned functions. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of assigned functions and projects.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
• Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
• Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of proven operational excellence in an entrepreneurial environment.
• BS Degree required, or equivalent experience in related field
• Skilled in organizational development, people management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
• 5+ years preferred training and deploying Operational Excellence tool sets (Lean / Six Sigma). Can articulate path to delivered results.
• 3+ years of hospitality industry management (restaurant and hotel).
• Proven experience as a business manager or relevant role
• The ability to maintain trust and strong personal relationships despite potentially disagreeing on business decisions.
• Strong collaboration skills including the ability to map out joint processes with other departments and collectively develop improvements.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in handling complex legal topics
• Experience and effectiveness in working at management level, in reporting and communicating in an international and multicultural environment, that is worldwide in operation
• Proficiency in data base and Microsoft office suites, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
• Ability to work in a business environment with fast-paced intervals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
