Lab Tech - Fiber
Responsibilities include:
• Facilitate analytical testing for Medallion
• Provide support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples for Medallion Labs
• Document results and review data
• Investigate any technical discrepancies on a timely basis
• Develop a strong knowledge of the analytical methods being used to analyze samples.
Qualifications:
• 0-3 Years of Experience. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology or related field. Knowledge of analytical methods.
• Basic analytical and/or food chemistry testing including protein, pipetting, weighing, grinding, etc.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, statistics, and document control
• Ability to manually calculate analytical test results
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people from technical, production, and other backgrounds
• Strong knowledge and background of analytical instrumentation
• Able to coordinate multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PC skills: proficient with Word, Excel, etc.Technical excellence
• Works well with individuals and teams; displays a positive attitude
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving ability; Flexibility and adaptability
• Stand for long period of time on feet and repetitive hand and arm motion.
• If lab area requires steel toe shoes, contractor must supply.
Non-prescription safety glasses are required to work in lab area and are provided for by Medallion. If contractor wears prescription glasses, they may want to consider purchasing prescription safety glasses for comfort. Otherwise it is a requirement to wear safety glasses over prescription glasses.
Position is available in the Fiber Lab from M-Th 6am-4pm. Overtime may be needed.
