Digital Intern
Gibraltar is looking for a full time summer Digital Intern based in our Hinsdale, IL office, who is passionate about participating in Gibraltar Industries' digital transformation. Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer, this position will encompass a wide array of responsibilities, with a focus on Digital Communication (website), Cyber Security maturity and Technology Operations.
Activities you will perform include:
- Help us continue to improve our corporate website by serving as a liaison with our development team and business to source, test and implement new content and features. You'll also help create our corporate social media strategy and calendar as well as help to develop a publishing process. Previous experience with WordPress social media platforms a plus!
- Help us to enhance our cyber security roadmap by surveying our current landscape and identifying gaps or breaches in trust. There will be a lot of analysis required so savviness with MS Excel is a MUST.
- Help to create visibility to IT initiatives by assembling metrics and preparing operational reporting for IT management.
The ideal candidate will...
- Be pursuing or having a degree in Digital Media, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
- Have strong verbal/written communications with clear English-speaking skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Have a general technical proficiency and understanding of how technology hardware, network and software interact with each other
- Have experience with Adobe Photoshop or GIMP, WordPress and social media platforms
