Fall Associate and Emerging Leaders Conference

UPDATE: Tuition has been waved for the Virtual Training, and is only required for those participating in the D.C. trip. It will be payable closer to the date of the trip.

Around the world, 80% of the world lives in a place where fundamental freedom of religion and belief rights are under severe restriction. We work through capacity building and advocacy to confront this pressing problem in U.S. foreign policy, international relations, and coalitions representing every faith and none.

Our Fall Associate internship program is designed to give students practical tools for justice on the fundamental human rights issue of freedom of religion or belief for all people of any belief everywhere as defined by Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The summer online cohort series and the following October 4th-7th conference in Washington D.C. provide training, from a Christian faith-based perspective, on the history, theology, and implementation on this essential right. Advocacy, messaging/communications, networking, professional development and more all covered. Experiences include hearing from victims of persecution, a private tour of the U.S. Capitol with a former member of Congress, a networking reception, and directly advocating with congressional offices. Even if you cannot participate in the DC practicum or the D.C. internship, we still welcome you to apply for just the Online Cohort discussions.

Fall Associates are selected from applicants to the cohort and conference, and will focus on deepening the skills, professional development, and advocacy during one of the busiest and most exciting periods on international religious freedom issues.
