News Producer
KELOLAND Media Group is looking for a creative and competitive Newscast Producer.
The ideal candidate has strong news judgment and writing skills, pays attention to detail and finds creative ways to present information to viewers. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious and wants to find new, unique and relevant content viewers won't find in other newscasts.
You must be good with deadlines, prioritizing assignments and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
A successful producer needs to be a newsroom leader, team player, and great communicator in the newsroom.
Able to work a flexible schedule. A good understanding of social media, so you can incorporate it into the daily newscast.
Applicant must provide a resume & a link to a recent newscast that demonstrates an ability to produce in routine and breaking news situations. Mandatory background check is a condition of hire.
College/university degree in journalism or mass communication is preferred. Previous experience producing newscasts at a commercial television station is required.
