ABPA Student Ambassador
Position Overview:
A Student Ambassador promotes the values and mission of ABPA to university students within their specific university. An ambassador serves as an ABPA representative and acts as a reference point for students interested in learning, engaging, and joining ABPA.
Description:
In addition to representing ABPA at campus events and acting as a point of contact for interested students, Student Ambassadors will also engage in Classroom Visits. At each classroom visit and event, an ambassador must highlight (but is not limited to):
· The mission of ABPA,
· Who ABPA is for,
· How ABPA is structured,
· The process by which ABPA places students,
· A list of three or four of our high-profile employers/partners
Following each classroom visit and event, a brief document will be submitted providing a summary and citing the date, time, and location. Any remarkable organizations or students who indicated interest must also be mentioned in the document.
Responsibilities:
o Post and engage on ABPA’s social media during events/ABPA-related activities
o Act as a student advisory member on student organizations and methods on how to interact more on each University Campus
o Represent ABPA on your university campus
o Occasionally attend ABPA’s events
o Participate in Classroom Visits and community outreach
Eligibility:
o Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited university or institution
o Possess a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
o Authorization or eligibility to work in the United States
o Must be 18 years or older
o Must have effective communication skills
o Experience with social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
