Assistant Vice President Personal Banking

SCOPE
The AVP of Personal Banking is responsible for providing leadership, direction, systems, policies, procedures and support to ensure the overall quality and compliance of the organization’s Personal Banking department in the Fairmont and Truman locations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leadership/ Supervision: 40%
  • Promotes a positive and energetic environment using the Extraordinary Banker Program, embraces and displays Profinium’s Purpose, Pledge and Pursuits (P3s), and Team Promises to guide all team members’ behavior. This position also ensures compliance with organization policies, systems, processes and procedures with a strong commitment to the overall global direction and focus of the organization.
  • Responsible for managing the Personal Bankers and Customer Service Representatives within the Fairmont and Truman locations and working closely with the AVP PB East Leader, including growing deposits, managing new loans, accounts, service and sales functions; together with the East Leader, effectively leading the division, setting SMART goals, tracking, monitoring, reporting, rewarding and recognizing results.
  • Together with the East Leader, develop systems for the personal banking activities that enable each banker to quickly and accurately measure accomplishments related to pre-determined objectives while actively deepening customer relationships through direct sales efforts, cross-selling and outbound contact efforts, with the utilization of the REA systems
  • Together with the East Leader, conducts department meetings and training as necessary to ensure the learning, delivery and adherence of proper personal banking quality standards by all staff
  • Together with the East Leader, assess the developmental/training needs and career paths of all direct reports
  • Leads and mentors direct reports in areas of client needs assessment, proper solution development and delivery, problem resolution, referrals to other teammates as appropriate and overall relationship management.

New Accounts & Sales: 50%
  • Successfully sells consumer and small commercial/business products and services. This will include deepening account relationships with existing clients, soliciting prospects to the bank and going on joint sales calls with our partners. This effort will include contacting clients by phone, mail, email and in person to ask for account relationships.
  • Assist clients with their banking needs.
  • Thorough understanding of the various products and services the bank offers and effectively communicates the value of those services and products or introduces them to the appropriate expert.
  • Recommend policy/procedure enhancements to better serve customers and coworkers.
  • Responsible for generating quality consumer credit within guidelines set by bank policy and individual lending authority to reach growth targets. Achieves goals for the East Market as defined by bank’s annual organizational objectives

Other: 10%
  • As part of overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.
  • Actively involved in community and civic organizations as appropriate to represent the bank in the community. This is to include seeking out networking opportunities during which you are focused on developing relationships and providing leadership.
