This includes, but not limited to, attending client meetings, interacting and taking notes, drafting and writing press releases, working with press; phone calls, emails, extensive research, creating pitches, media tips and alerts, Social Media platforms, Cision database, brainstorming for angles for different pitches. Our interns are “Publicity Assistants” or “Junior Publicists” in which attend all our business meetings as part of the team while with us.

TransMedia Group has also tapped into the entertainment world by assisting in securing award winning production teams for projects, product placement on films, assisted in casting films, bringing investors to films as well as sparking ideas for film projects.

All along we update their resumes and portfolio as they will generate placements or materials to discuss at job interviews. Also, attend any upcoming events if schedule permits.

Adrienne Mazzone, President at the firm, oversees on a daily basis, what work is being done and ensure that they are learning from each task. When a student completes their internship, they leave with a feel for hands on experience by “out of classroom” career type setting and knowledge of the PR business. They also have the start of contacts they’ve created in the industry.

The internship program TransMedia Group offers, is as important for the student as it is for our business. We do critique work and give an overview of what the student or recent graduate can improve as well as what their strong points are and what they might want to work on more in depth.

Our days/hours are flexible and if going for credit are responsible to create a schedule that includes your required hours. You are welcome to extend those hours beyond. We are open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. This internship is currently remote until further notice of an in-house option.

For Zoom/Skype meetings, please dress professional, and set your background with our TMG background attached. If for any reason you are not available during the hours/days on your schedule, please let us know so we can delegate work according. All emails must cc Adrienne. Please always have a subject and spell check your work. By accepting the internship you are also considered-in good faith--under a non-compete. Basically, do not take side work from clients or vendors we work with or try to work directly for them without discussing with Adrienne. Some companies we work with are Public in which would need to be approved by client prior to sending any information out. Plug my cell phone in, anything you need please call or text. If you are not sure, don't guess, just ask!

The internship has many areas, some of which will include, but not limited to: attending meetings, from staff meetings, new business and current client meetings.  They will develop skills in using a program for PR professionals such as Cision, and social enhancement programs such as Loomly, Hootsuite, and user friendly graphic programs such as Canva and Wix.  They gain hands-on experience. In addition, interns will learn how to manage timelines, follow through on projects from list building with targeted filters, researching, drafting press releases, media advisories and letters/emails on various topics, with various angles.

Interns will also develop values in learning how to collaborate with team members on projects for a wide range of clients.

The criteria used to evaluate each intern is the amount of initiative they put forth in the program with each project assigned and some will earn a letter of recommendation and others may be offered a paid position when completing their non-paid internship.  We value our interns input as much as they value our critiquing during the time at TMG.

We look forward to all our futures, if interested in working with us, just let us know when you'd like to start -we can assist each other in reaching some goals!

Let us know if you have any questions or what day you will be starting.
