Clinical Psychologist
We are seeking a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist. Pediatric Partners is growing, and we are looking for highly qualified, experienced and dedicated individuals to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
The Pediatric Clinical Psychologist applies theories and principals of psychology to diagnose and treat disorders in children and adolescents. Working with the therapy team(s), providing detailed and planned care for patients in accordance with the principals and goals set forth by Pediatric Partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct psychological assessments, consultations, therapies, treatments and guide treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Use diagnostic evaluations including interviewing, assessment, result integration and feedback for patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents with the potential to provide group therapy. Therapy techniques could include play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy, among other preferred psychotherapy techniques.
- Educate and promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
- Accurately collect and report behavior data.
- Collaborate with family and treatment team members to develop effective treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all patient related information per HIPAA.
- Accurately document, maintain, and bill in EMR system.
- Demonstrate sound judgement in heightened clinical situations with patients and react appropriately and according to prescribed training methods.
- Act as staff advisor to, and participate in various committees, as needed.
- Research new therapy treatments, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate sound time management techniques to complete all required documentation for medical records and billing.
- Mentor therapists and students, as necessary.
- Participate in educational programs, in-service training, and/or workshops to remain current in methods and techniques.
- Perform other duties essential for the running of Pediatric Partners practice as assigned by supervisor or other designate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current ND Clinical Psychologist License.
- Four years of related experience in children and adolescent mental health care.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Understand insurance billing systems for appropriate billing of services provided.
- Ability to navigate EMR system, Microsoft Suite, and internet.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently enough to meet the needs of patients.
