Government Program Associate

Job Description

Our team is looking for a Government Program Associate to help build our fast growing government business! As an Associate, you will assist in the day-to-day execution of Dcode’s training programs to government leaders. You will build new relationships at key agencies and work with the Dcode government team to develop new products and events that drive the company’s mission and growth.

Training Execution and Operations 
  • Co-lead and support the day-to-day execution and operations of Dcode’s single- and multi-day virtual and in-person trainings
  • Assist in the development of training content and curriculum (i.e., lessons, activities, presentations) for government leaders at various levels and across multiple topic areas
  • Create collaborative and constructive learning environments to enhance learners’ and stakeholders’ experiences and engagement 
  • Design surveys and other assessment tools to capture and analyze data for program planning, decision-making, and reporting 
  • Develop, track, and maintain program schedules, budgets, and inventories 

Product and Community Development 
  • Work with the Dcode government team to develop new product concepts and strategic initiatives 
  • Advocate for Dcode products and services, and work with colleagues to sell and execute those services
  • Plan, organize, and execute Dcode events to help connect tech, government, and industry
  • Develop and manage relationships with key officials at DoD and civilian agencies
  • Identify new partnerships and technologies to improve and scale Dcode’s products

Business Growth and Innovation
  • Brainstorm new ways to grow and support the sales pipeline, customer base, and training community 
  • Conduct research on agency budgets, technology needs, trend reports, and solicitations to support and inform Dcode contract opportunities and opportunities for Dcode’s alumni companies
  • Work with the Dcode government and tech teams to keep Dcode’s government network engaged and informed around technology needs and use cases 
  • Write and contribute to Dcode white papers, government deliverables, and solicitation responses

Supervisory
  • Onboard and train interns 
  • Set expectations and key performance metrics for interns


Qualifications

  • Prior experience and/or a strong interest in technology, startups, or federal government

KEY SKILLS
You’ll learn something new every day in this role. We’ll teach you the ropes but ideal candidates will have:
  • 2 - 5 years of work experience
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills, and incredibly detail-oriented
  • Comfortable using or learning about new technology (Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Hubspot, Slack, Zoom, eLearning and membership community platforms, etc.) 
  • The ability to work without being closely managed and continuously “wow!” the team
  • Prior experience planning and executing in-person and virtual events, particularly trainings or other logistically-complicated programs is a plus
  • Prior experience in business development or government procurement is a plus
  • Prior military and/or service experience (AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, etc.) is a plus
