Wholesale Plant Nursery Grower & Production Manager

Lloyd Nursery is a 50 acre wholesale containerized ornamental nursery, located in North Florida near Tallahassee, family owned and operated since 1980. We're currently searching for a Nursery Lead Grower & Production Manager.

The Nursery Lead Grower & Production Manager is a full-time employee within the Lloyd Nursery Plant Production Team. This individual will operate and oversee the daily functions of the Plant Growing aspects of the company. This 10 to 30-person department requires a fast paced, proactive, solutions driven thinker with a mind for plant health and cycles, people management, leadership, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Primary functions will include management and oversight of all aspects of plant production, systems development and improvements while leading the production grow teams to hit calendar and quality-focused targets. Areas of accountability will include overall plant production tasks, leading a large team, inventory management, logistics, pest management, budgeting, and process development and improvement.
Full-time position in our family-owned plant nursery. Monday-Friday 7 am-5 pm

Job Requirements:
  • Experience working in agriculture
  • Education in agriculture
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment and be supportive of co-workers and other managers
  • Must be able to work inclement weather conditions (hot, cold, & rainy)
  • Must be able to work extended hours
  • Computer literacy
  • Good oral and written communication skills
