Marketing Coordinator - Internal & External Communications

As Marketing Coordinator, Internal & External Communications, you will be providing support to the Brand & Communications team in the development of public relations and corporate communications for Gas South. You will support the development of external brand/PR messaging and events. You will also support the Gas South organization in drafting and deploying internal communications via email and other communication channels. Primary duties include supporting the Sr. Manager of Brand & Communications in the day-to-day management of the PR agency to ensure a consistent and relevant external brand message that positions Gas South effectively in relevant media placements, working alongside the PR agency to secure potential media opportunities and share out results from completed opportunities, facilitating scheduling of media interviews with appropriate Gas South stakeholders, drafting copy and quotations for stakeholder approval when needed, working with team members on social media content calendars to ensure proper inclusion of relevant internal and external company information/events, writing and deploying internal corporate communications, as well as participating in Gas South company events and committees as it relates to providing resourceful communications to all employees.

Other stuff we like:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or another related field required
  • 2-3 years’ experience and proven capabilities in a brand marketing or PR role
  • Experience in working on brand communications (internal and/or external)
  • Proficient in the drafting copy for internal and external communications and writing in a consistent tone
  • Experience working with PR agency partners
  • Proactive in developing PR communications objectives, annual calendar and initiatives
  • Interest and desire to work on multi-channel, comprehensive internal and external brand campaigns
  • Detail-oriented, organized and thorough in multi-tasking to prioritize and complete assignments
  • Strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate, and communicate with partners, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - to produce reports, presentations, databases, or other documents
  • Experience working in close relationship with executive and senior leadership teams
  • Proficient in basic event Photography a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
 
 
More details on what you would be responsible for:
 
  • Support Sr. Manager of Brand & Communications in the day-to-day management of external agency PR partners implementing PR programs that achieve increase in brand influence and awareness
  • Provide support for the management of the PR agency by crafting and developing press releases, as well as identifying and coordinating media opportunities and interviews
  • Collaborate with marketing team to support the development of external brand communications that are consistent with overall brand message and strategy
  • Facilitate project communication, assisting to organize effective meetings, and providing communications on project progress (i.e. timelines, briefs)
  • Align with Marketing Operations team on sponsorship media opportunities for succinct and relevant brand message
  • Initiate conversations and collaborate with other departments throughout the organization to “research” and gain insights for potential internal and external brand communications
  • Prepare, develop and execute plan for the structuring and organizing of internal communications
  • Act as a primary contact for receiving internal communication requests, drafting copy, routing for all approvals, organizing the communications into a tentative calendar, and deploying internal communications via email, flyers and other channels
  • Contribute to the development of the competitive brand assessment monthly, quarterly and annually as it relates to analyzing and measuring PR and earned media results
  • Work with team members on incorporating relevant internal and external company messages into social content calendar as an extension of PR initiatives
  • Ideate on internal and external programs that support company mission and brand platform
  • Attend and cover internal and external events
