Volunteer--Social Media Monitoring
Save the Children is looking for a skills-based volunteer to help the Marketing & Communications Team with our Coronavirus Outbreak Support for Families Group on Facebook.
The volunteer would be need to help with the following:
- Approve new members (make sure the requests are coming from real profiles and not trolls/pages looking to advertise/etc)
- Approve new posts (scan the content to make sure it doesn’t violate the group’s rules and policies)
- Monitor posts and comments that have been reported by other members, and remove/block as necessary if they violate the rules/policies
- Monitor any posts with unusually high activity for any potential rule/policy violations
- Be able to swift though content to determine it is coming from a reliable source
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills,
- Background in journalism or communication
- strong social/digital savvy.
- The volunteer would need to be able to check the Facebook page several times a day. This volunteer would need to spend up to 7 hours a week on project for up to 6 months.
