THE POSITION:

We’re looking for adults in their early career stage who have completed an accredited post-secondary degree, value global ministry, and are collaborative. 

The Aviation Training Fellow will serve alongside the Aviation Training team to ensure that pilots around the world have the knowledge and hands-on experience to thrive in their unique contexts as well as comply with aviation standards. He or she will specifically focus on digitizing the content of aviation training modules, and helping implement strategies to record and track training completion.

Fellows receive the following compensation and benefits:

  • $10 an hour
  • An eleven-month program featuring structured mentorship and ongoing professional development

THE LOCATION:

JAARS Fellows will need to live on campus in Waxhaw, NC. The area is a 40 minute drive from Charlotte, NC, and is known as one of the best places to live in North Carolina. With its mild winters, small town main street, and proximity to both urban centers and outdoor recreation, Waxhaw is the place to be.

WHAT SUCCESS AS A FELLOW LOOKS LIKE:

By the end of the eleven-month fellowship, the Aviation Training Fellow will have:

  • Assisted in the implementation of a learning management system (LMS) for JAARS Aviation Training.
  • Digitized aviation training content so that it can be accessed around the world.
  • Collaborated on the development of a continuous professional training program for JAARS Aviation.
  • Worked on a multigenerational team and developed necessary skills to be both an active listener and contributor on a diverse team. 
  • Learned applicable life skills.
  • Received guidance on next steps and know which step to take toward their professional goals.
