(Remote) Social Media/Digital Communications Intern

D&D Consulting Group (the “Company”) is looking for TWO unpaid, remote Marketing (Social Media) Interns. Duties include creating and editing content, posting to the Company’s social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) and blog, and scheduling social media posts. You will have a chance to find professional mentors, attend lunch and learns or professional development seminars, volunteer for community service organizations and more! *Academic credit is an option if offered by your school*


Internship Schedule


  • 10-20 hours a week for the Summer or Fall Semesters (starting date is flexible)
  • Days and time that work is performed are flexible 
  • Weekly phone/video meetings to coordinate blog posts and social media schedule
*We are located in Ann Arbor, MI but are open to remote candidates*


Responsibilities


  • Assist in marketing and advertising activities (e.g., digital advertising; monitor social media accounts and create and post content; print advertising; web)
  • Assist in the optimization of SEO/SEM/Web Analytics dashboards
  • Assist in press and media coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photoshoots, and other special events
  • Collect and analyze data from marketing campaigns
  • Assist in market analysis and competitive research
  • Prepare presentations
  • Help organizing marketing events

  • 50% Social media and blog monitoring, creating, posting and scheduling 
  • 20% Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photoshoots, and other special events
  • 20% Compile contact lists and create or update databases
  • 5% Write press releases and other materials


Requirements


Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and should be majoring in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, Entrepreneurship, English or a related field. Applicants should also have a solid understanding of social media.
