Payroll & Benefits Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and verify benefit time accuracy and upload in to payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Enter the benefit time needed in Novatime to satisfy the tiered hours employees are assigned to work. Communicate with the employee and the supervisor of all updates.
  • Administer annual open enrollment period, provide plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating plan changes to employees, schedule open enrollment employee meetings, and arrange for onsite presentations by providers and/or broker; process enrollment changes within deadlines.
  • Process and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollments.
  • Manage all aspects of wellness screening – planning, organizing, and communications.
  • Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.

To be successful you will have:

  • High level interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize duties and demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and superior attention to detail.
  • Proficient in use of human resource information systems, payroll systems or similar databases, and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Work well independently and as part of the human resource team and accounting team.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement to ensure human resource processes and procedures are responsive and nimble to organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or accounting 
  • Combination of education and experience equal to six (7) years
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
