WOW Logistics is now hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst!
WOW Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. This unique position is accountable for the entire CPP (Commodity Purchase Program) commodity and credit risk management process, which includes the assessment of the creditworthiness for potential and existing customers as well as ongoing research and analysis of commodity markets including dairy, meat, and others. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed and thorough credit analysis to support the credit recommendations of new CPP customers and the periodic reviews of existing customers.
- Research new and existing commodity markets to provide a thorough understanding of the associated risks and applicability of the CPP value propositions.
- Monitor the associated commodity markets and industries for market price trends, product risks, and new opportunities.
- Evaluate the current credit process and make improvements to the credit model, inventory risk evaluation, qualitative company analysis, KPIs and reporting, limit monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of current customers.
- Identify potential risks with customers and find ways to mitigate or eliminate risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or closely related field required
- Previous experience in detailed credit analysis including evaluating financial statements and business plans or commercial lending experience with significant exposure to credit function
- At least 5 years of previous credit management and/or commercial lending experience.
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized; excellent written, listening, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong MS Office Skills; including Word, Excel and Outlook is a must
- Ability to prioritize, organize, self-manage, and successfully balance multiple tasks and requests to meet project deadlines
- Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently
- Poised and works well under pressure
- Able to manage goals and meet deadlines
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential issues
- Willingness to grow and take on additional responsibilities as needed
