Fiveable UX/UI Fellowship

Who we are:

In April of 2018, former high school teacher Amanda DoAmaral started live streaming reviews for AP students. After a year of hacking things together to reach 5k students, she met Austin Monroe and Tan Ho on Reddit and the team became official with Amanda as the teacher brain, Austin the developer, and Tan the designer and SEO guru. Soon after, Aaron Levin (developer) and LG (SEO specialist) joined the team. In 2020, we have already supported 1.3M students.

What we're building:

Even before COVID, high school students would find themselves boppin' around the internet searching for resources, but unsure of what to trust and who to ask for help. Tutors are expensive, great teachers are not always accessible, and the opportunity gap is wide. Post-COVID, this gap has increased 10x as teachers and schools scramble to provide online materials, but so many students are still left out. At Fiveable, we're building a new social learning network that empowers students and teachers to support each other through live streams, study guides, and interactive games. Learning should be fun, social, and accessible to every student.
