School-based Clinician, Bangor, ME

This position is responsible for provision of psycho-educational and clinical counseling services to clients and their families in a school-based setting. Through these services, the Clinician will assist clients (and their families when appropriate) in developing self-knowledge, interpersonal skills, and safety planning while keeping them in the least restrictive environment. Productivity expectations for this position will be discussed based on identified needs of the school district and individualized caseload requirements. The Clinician also is available for clinical support, training, and (if required) supervision for other school-based program staff. This is a school year position with some opportunity to provide clinical coverage for other Acadia Hospital/Acadia Healthcare programs (such as Child and Adolescent Partial and the Summer Program) during school vacation weeks and summer break. This position may be asked to deliver services during planned school breaks to appropriate youth and families who require this continuity. This person reports to and performs duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW-CC, LCSW), Counseling Education (LCPC, LCPC-C), Psychology, or related field, and ability for clinical licensure required. Must have experience with children and adolescents, with expertise in individual, group and family therapy
