Suicide Prevention Project Director

Seasons is a comprehensive Behavioral Health Center offering a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to communities in Northwest Iowa. We are excited to be participating in the SAMHSA Suicide Prevention Grant Project, allowing our staff to receive specialized training and provide suicide prevention, outreach and specialized services to our communities, specifically focusing on victims of domestic violence, farmers & ag-related workers, and immigrants & refugees in Northwest Iowa. Seasons Center is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and passionate individual to lead suicide prevention efforts across a 9-county service area in rural Northwest Iowa.

The Suicide Prevention Grant Project Director will:
  • Lead the management and implementation of the project goals and objectives and management plans to achieve the scope of project
  • Provide direct supervision to program staff implementing suicide prevention activities
  • Complete required grant management program paperwork
  • Attend and participate in required agency and grantee meetings
  • Take a leadership role and participate in collaborative activities required and/or recommended on behalf of the grant funder
  • Oversee data collection and tracking of project activities
  • Facilitate sustainability and dissemination planning and implementation
  • Direct implementation of public awareness activities and training plans, marketing and outreach, and systems collaboration with community partners and contracted entities
  • Provide support for cultural awareness and competency activities and strategies
  • Create a project "Toolkit" to highlight project activities to strengthen, sustain, disseminate, and replicate the project

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or Business is required, a Master’s degree is preferred
  • At least two years of experience working in the behavioral health field is required
  • Experience working with at least one of the following areas is required; victims of domestic violence; farmers and ag-related workers; immigrants and refugees
  • Experience managing others is required
  • Must be highly organized and computer literate
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Some travel is required for this positions so a valid driver’s license is required
