Design & Illustration Intern (REMOTE)
Design & Illustration Internship Position Description:
We are recruiting a Design & Illustration intern looking to gain valuable work experience with an emerging brand: WESTxEAST. You will work closely with the Co-founders and learn from their creative direction and overall business operations. It’s an opportunity to enhance your portfolio and gain hands on experience with a fashion start-up.
Position Requirements:
- Pursuing Illustration or Graphic Design major
- A strong visual design portfolio with Digital sketches and hand-sketches.
- Mastery of skills with the common tools of the trade (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, InVision, After Effects, and Pen and Paper)
- Illustration/Drawing and Video Editing experience is a huge plus
- An innovative self-starter with problem solving skills, creativity, ambition, and a strong work ethic
- Excellent at creating digital and hand sketches
- Understanding of Indian textiles
- The ability to take directions and implement that into your design process
- Detailed oriented
Job Duties and Tasks Include but are NOT limited to:
- Create digital and hand sketches for clients
- Brainstorm sketch ideas to collaborate with magazine editors and influencers
- Coordinate with Production Manager to help clients visions come to life
- Create sketch ideas to post on website and social media outlets
Additional Information:
This is a School Credit opportunity
Must commit 15 hours per week
Must have a laptop
Remote internship but possible in-person meetings at Luminary in NoMad
