Innovative Ag Services is a full service farm cooperative offering a complete line of supplies and services to meet all of your farm needs. We provide value-added products and services to over 5,000 members in the grain, agronomy, feed, energy and building supply markets. Our 30 locations are located throughout northeast and central Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. IAS ranks as one of the Top Agricultural Cooperatives in Iowa.
Primary Objective: The Director of Information Technology strategizes, executes, and manages the hardware, software, service delivery and personnel operations of the IT department and ensures alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The Director will plan and recommend, coordinate, direct, and design all operation activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for all IT solutions.
The Director of IT will work closely with the business divisions to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. 
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is located in Monticello, Iowa.
Areas of Accountability:
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.
  • Technology strategy and planning
  • Systems and network administration
  • IT Department management, personnel, service delivery, policy and procedures
  • IT budgeting, departmental planning and expenditure approvals.
  • Security – Access – Firewall Systems and Disaster Recovery Planning.
  • Development and implementation of end user training programs.
  • Application development
  • Database management (SQL, MySQL, and DB2)
  • Business Process Automation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of broad experience in Information Technology, including PC, networks, reporting, security, hardware and software
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and system administration.
  • Experience with the following technologies:
  • IBM iSeries administration
  • VMware Administration specifically VDI desktop environments
  • Cisco Meraki Administration
  • Veeam Backup Systems
  • Ubiquiti Wireless Technologies
  • Microsoft Domain Management (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:
Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion, carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion. 
Agricultural Environment – Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.
