Aldevron Business & Operations Leadership Development (BOLD) Program

The Aldevron Business & Operations Leadership Development (BOLD) Program is designed to cultivate future leaders by building critical business and scientific knowledge through a series of key experiences.  As a participant in this program, you will receive training and development, as well as exposure to various departments and projects, to build an understanding of Aldevron processes, business, and culture.
 
The program consists of 4 rotational assignments, each lasting approximately 6 months, starting with an assignment in either our Plasmid DNA or Protein or mRNA operations.  You will work with management and your executive sponsor to create a career path that will build the depth and breadth of experience required in a future leader of Aldevron.  

Assignments may include:

Manufacturing (RG, GMP-Source, or GMP)
  • Become familiar with Aldevron’s products and production processes
  • Perform most tasks associated with preproduction planning, manufacturing of plasmid DNA, mRNA  and/or Proteins
  • Gain understanding of documentation and quality guidelines
  • Build leadership skills by training, coaching, and/or overseeing others (dependent on role)
  • Assist in achieving department KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost)
  • Participate in special projects

Quality and Regulatory
  • Build knowledge of regulatory guidelines
  • Understand the role quality plays within manufacturing
  • Participate in CAPAs and review/release processes
  • Refine laboratory skills
  • Gain critical thinking and problem solving skills

Tech Ops/R&D
  • Work/assist on research, process development, process optimization and technical transfer of new services and technologies
  • Develop bio-analytical method development, qualification and validation  skills
  • Build technical credibility, scientific understanding, and strategic perspective

All program participants are expected to act as a champion of Aldevron’s mission, vision, and values, participate in leadership training programs and executive mentorship assignment, share feedback about the program to leadership for continuous improvement, and act as a mentor to future program participants.

Requirements

Experience:
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting through academic courses or research  

Education
  • B.S. in life science or engineering degree required (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical, Biomedical, Bioprocess or similar) required by December 2020
  • A 3.0+ cumulative G.P.A.
