We are seeking highly motivated students to be a part of our LAUNCH Product Marketing Program or Product Management Program. These full-time paid roles are designed to jump start your career, offering on-the-job and supplemental training in addition to robust mentorship. You will work alongside the brightest minds in the industry to drive the innovation necessary to outpace new demands and challenges created by data. 
What is the LAUNCH Program? The LAUNCH Program is supplemental to your full-time role. You are automatically enrolled in the LAUNCH Program during the first twelve months. In this program, you will take a deeper dive into professional life at Western Digital by getting exposure to different parts of the organization, in addition to the experience you gain from your day-to-day responsibilities. Supplemental LAUNCH Program elements include:

Location:
Milpitas, California, United States
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide support in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives, define vision, strategies, tactics and select, develop, and manage internal and external resources required to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Drive and own short-to-medium term initiatives for evolving our connected storage products and services based on customer personas and use-cases and identifying new areas of growth
  • Process, review and interpret qualitative and quantitative data on competition, customers, usage / metrics to uncover new product insights and drive engagement
  • Collaborate cross functionally, with various internal functions including product marketing, engineering, legal, and IT to ensure integration success; be a primary point of contact for any potential or current project status. 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Product Marketing: Current student, pursuing a Business Marketing, Business Management, or related undergraduate degree, graduating between December 2020 and June 2021
  • Product Management: Current student, pursuing a Computer Science or Information Technology degree, combined with Economics, Business, or MBA, graduating between December 2020 and June 2021
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strategic thinker with excellent planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and limited resource environment
  • Related industry/market experience not required but may include; digital photography, mobile electronics, gaming, computing, or peripherals.
  • Passionate about gadgets (consumer electronics)
  • Strong technical skills in area of study
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Right to work in the US without requiring Western Digital to commence or sponsor an immigration case in order to employ you (for example, H-1B or other employment-based immigration case)
