Social Media Promoter

The Social Media Promoter is responsible for posting content and enhancing engagement to drive greater online community support for KARA on one or more social media platforms. Our intent on social media is to encourage education and promote discussion related to research, advocacy, and current events on child abuse and child protection, to inspire people to take action in various ways to develop stronger communities, and to support KARA and other organizations working toward keeping children safer.

Responsibilities:
  • Post content regularly, guided by our general content calendar and resources
  • Note what type of content you posted and when
  • Share/like/comment to enhance engagement
  • Monitor and respond to comments and engagement
  • Suggest opportunities for growing community and engagement
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers

Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented, organized
  • Motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy
  • Proficiency with at least one of the following: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Native fluency in spoken and written English, able to communicate clearly and consistently
  • Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc.
  • Minimum hours expected: 2 hours/week
