Advertising Account Executive - Fargo, ND

JOB PURPOSE:
Sell digital, sports, and cable television advertising services by recruiting new clients, and providing superior customer service to retain existing clients.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
  • Prospect, identify opportunities and create customized solutions from the selection of Midco Advertising Products for new and existing business clients.
  • Achieve and exceed defined sales goals (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.)
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of leads, prospects, opportunities and clients.
  • Adjust messaging and approach to suit the audience.
  • Seek out and recruit new clients.
  • Build strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential as well as existing customers, within your department, and within the community.
  • Engage in pipeline management daily.
  • Maintain current and accurate documentation for sales database, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Accurately forecast book of business on a regular basis.
  • Apply thorough business analysis to cases and collaborate with others involved to find solutions.
  • Develop and deliver professional sales presentations.
  • Prepare accurate customer estimates and contracts.
  • Monitor and strive for KPIs.
  • Design advertising campaigns and assist with production when needed.
  • Think and act in ways that put Midco customers first giving them seamless media mix options and make them promoters of Midco products and services.
  • Engage in training resources, including internal and external opportunities.
  • Represent Midco at community events as needed.
  • Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
  • In-person visits to a customer’s place of business are normal in the performance of this job. Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
