Johnson Lambert 2021 Audit Associate

We are currently seeking Audit Associates to join our growing team. What’s the job like? 
  • Actively participate in client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing and completing audits and managing to budget 
  • Document and test client internal controls 
  • Analyze client accounts and financial statements through risk assessment procedures, internal control testing, substantive procedures and analytics 
  • Engage in and assist in client interviews, primarily relating to internal controls and specific account analysis 
  • Research and develop solutions to technical issues related to the client’s business or proposals 
  • Supervise, train, and mentor new associates and interns on audit processes 
  • Plan work in appropriate priorities and sequences

  • Proactively communicate with appropriate management regarding work status, schedule requests, and time/budget variances, etc. 
  • Manage work time appropriately to ensure client expectations and deadlines are consistently met 
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times at client site 
  • Maintain professional standards of the firm and client confidentiality 
  • Develop technical skills through on the job experience and formal channels, such as seminars, in-house CPE training, etc. 
  • Participate in CPE relevant to work assignments and maintain compliance with firm CPE requirements 
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by building strong working relationships at peer, mentor, and team levels 
  • Actively participate in Career Development Program (CDP) activities, including leadership, recruiting, marketing, and professional areas 

What you’ll need for success: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • 150 Credit hours to sit for the CPA exam 
  • 0-1 years of work experience in public accounting 
  • A strong track record of leadership
