About the Role

We’re looking for an entry level Systems Engineer to join our team of engineers that work to provide on-site technical support for Orion and Bitronics products.

To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with software programming using scripting languages and be comfortable with providing hardware support. You should have an interest in working in the electric utility industry. Once you are comfortable with supporting products, you’ll be encouraged to work on larger more complex projects such as Human-Machine interface elements. Ultimately, you will help us support our products that address critical infrastructure. Responsibilities
·        Support our customer by configuring our products for advanced applications within an electric utility environment.
·        Provide troubleshooting support to field engineers and work as the NovaTech Orion Subject Matter Expert on site at our customer’s location.
·        Provide vital communication link between our customer and our division office.
·        Commission and troubleshoot products in substations.
·        Train customer in new applications.
·        Work closely with NovaTech and Bitronics Customer Support teams to resolve product issues.
·        Evaluate new firmware and conduct upgrades.

Requirements
·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
·        Strong abilities in scripted programming languages
·        Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware components
·        Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
·        Strong analytical skills
·        Solid verbal and written communication skills
·        Ability to work remotely thru at least the end of the year
·        Reside currently or willing to relocate to Allentown, PA area
