Internship - Volunteer Services (Video Editing) - Spring 2021

The Volunteer Services team supports thousands of volunteers each year. There are many options to volunteer at the Museum, including corporate, college, teen, and civic groups, year-round volunteers, college interns, and the teen Discovery Corps Program. An intern with Volunteer Services will help support our amazing volunteers both directly and behind-the-scenes.

Volunteer Services interns will directly assist the Volunteer Services department and staff with day-to-day operations. The intern will gain a greater knowledge and understanding of what it takes to maintain and manage an efficient nonprofit volunteer program. A specific project of editing of recordings to be used for internal training purposes will be the focus for spring 2021. The schedule for the internship is flexible, but the intern must reach a minimum of 60 hours through both remote and in-person service.

An ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment, and a friendly demeanor. The Volunteer Services team is looking for a candidate who has experience in creating and editing videos. Zoom experience, as well as video and audio editing, would be required. A special project may also include voice narration.
