Information Security Intern, Security Assessment and Incident Response (Fall)

VUIT is looking for an intern to join our Security Assessment and Incident Response (SAIR) team for the fall semester. You will be working with (at least) the Security Operations, Engineering, and Incident Response units within the Information Security Department. Within these units are several operational and project related initiatives. You will work on, at a minimum, real time monitoring, automation, and digital forensic initiatives to protect the University from cybersecurity threats.

At the end of the internship you should be able to, at a minimum, monitor the real time security queue and be able to either close out or escalate these tickets.

You will gain real-life hands-on cybersecurity experience. You will also be able to put what they learned in school to the test. This should give you a huge competitive edge when seeking full time employment!

Note: This position is remote for the fall semester.
