Software Engineer (CV Team)
Simbe Robotics is building Tally, an autonomous mobile robot for the world's retail industry. Tally helps in-store teams by collecting and analyzing on-shelf product data and providing actionable insights. As a Software Engineer at Simbe Robotics you will be part of a talented team developing retail analytics and insight tools for our Tally solution. Out computer vision pipeline provides retailers unparalleled insights about the state of their store while assisting them to maximize overall performance.
In this role you will
- Write software mostly in Python and C++ to support the computer vision and data processing pipeline
- Optimize code that comes out of RnD for production use
- Improve testing and deployment processes
- Assist with architecting and scaling the computer vision and data processing pipelines
- Build internal tooling to help with automation of processes, data audits, etc.
- Work closely with members of our product management, user experience design, data quality assurance, and engineering teams.
About you (required)
- Able to work in a Linux or Unix environment in the terminal
- Strong demonstrated record of software engineering for 2+ years
- Experience with git, github, and at least one form of continuous integration system
- Very proficient in Python, reasonably proficient in C++
- Some experience working with concurrent and parallel programming
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
About you (preferred)
- Experience with computer vision or deep learning systems would be very helpful
- Experience working on GCP/AWS/Azure or similar system
- An understanding of Kubernetes
