IT Support Specialist
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and support computers, network hardware, and common business and productivity software including our ERP system
- Provide effective and timely daily resolution of day-to-day problems faced by end users ranging from normal technology and application issues to network troubleshooting and peripheral replacement
- Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems
- Develop and assist in maintaining required technical documentation including, but not limited to, IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures
- Assist Business System Analyst with ongoing computer system and information projects
- Strive to perform in a highly effective manner to ensure PPI users receive excellent customer service and quality products
- Perform other additional duties as needed and as assigned
Education / Experience:
- Associate degree in computer science or related field required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
- Comp TIA A+ or Network + preferred
- Proficient knowledge in the use and application of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP; working knowledge of general IT business acumen, principles, and best practices
- Minimum of one year of proven IT support experience required
- Willingness and ability to professionally assist employees with wide-ranging technical skills, knowledge, and experience, including but not limited to explaining technical solutions in a manner equal to each individual’s technological knowledge base
- Willingness and interest in understanding process and data flows. Knowledge of creating reports in SQL is a plus
- Willingness and interest in training and sharing technical skills relating to MS Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Computer hardware and peripherals
- Willingness and ability to work both independently and as a team player to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Willingness and ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
- Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Available to assist with evening and or weekend support as needed
- Ability to travel to all 4 locations as required
