Job Duties and Responsibilities

As an intern you will be working full time (40 hours per week) on hands-on experience and real business projects. You will take an in-depth look at our core business, including one week of customer-facing experience and will ultimately present your business findings and recommendations to company leadership.
Our corporate interns partner with teams across DISH Nation working to drive our latest game-changing innovation. From Human Resources to Marketing and many departments in between, our interns capitalize on opportunities to effect real change across the company and their own futures.
 
We believe interns can help drive innovation both inside and outside our offices. With opportunities ranging from supporting internal messaging campaigns to delivering on customer-facing product launches, our corporate positions are designed to do it all.

  • Alliance Management
 
The Alliance Management team helps manage DISH’s position and partnerships in the connectivity space by working across the enterprise and across the industry to build and support our partners and their products. These partnerships enable DISH to offer the best broadband available and enables our partners to access and offer our best in class TV service. The Alliance Management team has groups responsible for business development, account management and product management that make all of this possible.
 
  • DISH Business 
 
DISH Business thrives on creating strategic partnerships and working with some of the most exciting companies to connect people to the TV they love. We deliver premium entertainment experiences for companies large and small. From enterprise-level hospitality platforms to instant-on managed WiFi, our teams work to put our product in the hands of people all over the country, however they want it. We work with companies’ existing infrastructure to provide customized solutions and drive demand for our services far into the future.
 
  • Corporate Communications
 
DISH Corporate Communications is a team of storytellers working in the art of persuasion. We create narratives and strategies to advance the company agenda with internal and external audiences. The team works to protect, enhance and build reputations through the media, social media, internal communication channels, speaking events and more. We support the entire company with a strong focus on our core business lines and leadership communications.
 
  • Customer Retention Marketing
 
The Customer Retention department is primarily responsible for driving the strategies to maximize profitability from our customer base. We act as internal consultants to maximize our customer lifetime value. While all of our decisions are data driven, we don't simply conduct analysis - we are also responsible for formulating recommendations and strategies that are executed throughout the business. Additionally, we execute all existing customer marketing and communications, which includes commercials, direct mail, email, web and social media.  
 
  • Human Resources 
 
The DISH Human Resources team is people focused. We provide our employees top notch service using our HR expertise in employee relations, legal compliance, training, employee engagement, talent planning and recruitment. We work closely with HR stakeholders and cross-functional teams in providing analysis and insight that drive action and HR strategy.  
 
  • Media Sales
 
DISH Media provides advertisers with intelligent solutions to efficiently maximize exposure to desired audiences across DISH and Sling TV. Through innovative platforms, viewer measurement tools and access to custom audiences, advertisers can employ strategically positioned, demographically targeted buys that enhance their national media campaigns. DISH Media helps advertisers tell their story, engage their audience and help them make a real impression. 
Location: New York City 
Skills, Experience and Requirements 
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree (non-MBA) program with an expected graduation date between December 2021 and August 2022.
