Intern - Mission Services Talent Acquisition Team (MSTAT) - Business Undergraduate - Summer

What Your Job Will Be Like

Sandia National Laboratories CFO and Business Operations Division 10000 is seeking enrolled college students who are seeking undergraduate internships with Sandia to support the business needs of the Laboratories. The Mission Services Talent Acquisition Team (MSTAT) is hosting this job requisition for these positions at the Lab. MSTAT is active in identifying candidates with relevant academic and work experience in an effort to provide valuable internships, build a pipeline for possible future regular employment, and to meet near-term project deliverables. Selected applicants will be interviewed by an MSTAT subcommittee of managers from across Sandia. Subsequently, the successful applicants will be entered into the internship program and will be provided to organization managers for placement based on internship interests and project needs. Those selected are expected to commit ten (10) to fourteen (14) weeks of employment over the summer. In addition to a matrix assignment, the program consists of on-boarding meetings, tours of Sandia, division level group projects, networking events, and a project presentation to the CFO and Division Management.
Candidates are expected to team with others to support Sandia's mission by adding value, improving operations, offering innovative solutions, and appropriately managing risk for the corporation. Work will reside within specific organizations at Sandia.

Qualifications We Require

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
  • Currently attending and enrolled full time (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship

Mission Services leads financial management systems, business excellence and process improvements, work authorization systems, information technology, purchasing, and other administrative services.
The Division also facilitates cost estimating, budgeting, and business planning activities across Sandia through a combination of business staff within and matrixed to various Divisions and PMUs.

Security Clearance

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
